| Since Bobby Lashley's release from the WWE he has been training at the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California. His current training focus includes Mixed Martial Arts despite the fact that WWE non-complete clause includes MMA. The clause expires on 5/10. Though Lashley has not decided what is next for him, he is expected to either go the MMA route or jump to TNA once his non-compete clause expires. |

| » Lashley More Interested In TNA |
|
Former WWE star Bobby Lashley has apparently been
vocal about TNA. Lashley is said to be more interested in working on a
"per show" basis for independents around the world. He was overheard
saying he wants the kind of schedule that Chris Masters is currently
working so he is leaning against going to TNA.

| » Bobby Lashley Signs With American Fight League MMA Group |
|
Former World Wrestling Entertainment performer and decorated amateur wrestler Bobby Lashley is the latest signing for the Kentucky-based American Fight League.
A source close to the 31-year-old told MMAjunkie.com that Lashley will be introduced as an AFL signee -- perhaps the organization's biggest to date -- during tonight's "Bulletproof" show at Phillips Arena in Atlanta. Rumors of Lashley's possible transition into MMA heated up over the past month, but few expected such a high-profile figure to sign with an organization so new to the national scene. AFL officials declined to comment today, but one executive said some "major signings" will be announced at tonight's show, which features a main event between AFL lightweight champ and former UFC fighter Diego Saraiva. |

Radio interview recap with Bobby Lashley:
BWR co-hosts Sanford Gomph and The Sanman were unavailable for this interview due to the last minute nature of this interview so Brett Buchanan flew solo. Brett first mentions how this is Bobby Lashley’s first interview since leaving the WWE, and that it is on BWR on BWRonline.net. Brett first asks Bobby to clarify why he left the WWE. He said he asked for his release for various reasons. Bobby also said he never wanted to leave up until the moment he asked for his release, he just realized he had to do it when he did. He then talked about his injury last year and how it was worse than thought after surgery in August. He said he was supposed to be out for 6 months but in December he was ready to go, and right then is when things went sour. He said there are a lot of things he can’t talk about regarding his release. |

| » Update On Bobby Lashey's Career |
|
Bobby Lashley is currently living in Colorado and training full-time in Mixed Martial Arts. While a career in MMA is something Lashley is considering, he has not shut the door on pro wrestling - namely TNA Wrestling. Lashley and his advisers will be exploring his options to see who makes the best offer. Having saved a good amount of money in his short WWE run, he is in no rush to sign with anybody. Lashley remains close with Booker T and will be training at his wrestling school in Houston, Texas. As we've reported, both Booker T and Kurt Angle have pushed TNA management to sign Lashley when he becomes a free agent in May. |
